Over the past few years I have worked with a lot of bands who have been at many different stages on the way to success. I have been treated horribly by some but amazing by others. Sometimes the negativity bothered me, but I realised that if I’m going to continue working in this industry it’s just something I need to get use to.
One band that I have literally seen grow throughout the past three years is Tonight Alive. The first show I ever worked outside of Freeza was their show @ Phoenix Youth Centre in 2010, then I worked at Pushover Festival (which they played) assisting with Riders in 2012, and just recently I worked throughout the day/night at their Melbourne show at Billboard the Venue.
I can’t exactly explain what my message is in writing, but I respect those guys so much for treating others the way they want to be treated. Tonight Alive have absolutely exploded in the past few years, I can’t think of a band more deserving and I can’t think of better role models for this generation.
